cosplay + public transport = nightmare

Oh crap.

I'm going to a con with my gf today, and all is well, except for the fact that we'll have to take public transport in full cosplay.

It's a homestuck cosplay (today Dolorosa, tommorow Vriska.) and of course we wont have the wigs and horns on in the bus, we'll put them on later. BUt we'll still be in grey facepaint from face to collarbones

Now why am I this nervous? I have kinda bad social anxiety, and buses are usually packed with old people, and they'd definetly, DEFINETLY make comments about it. I have a plan to have my hood on the entire time to draw less attention to myself. IT'll be 30 minutes by bus, then we wait a few minutes for a tram and 15 with that. I've been trying to tell myself "Hey, Therese, calm tf down, you'll be okay." but the fear is still there.

There's a thing/kind of person that's often called "Baba z Sopotu" (translation: old woman/hag from Sopot.) the context is that there circulated a video of an older woman screaming her lungs out at a alt person in public transport in the city of Sopot in Poland (I'm from the region, but not Sopot) And now the phenomena of senior citizens openly berating and commenting people in public transport is called being a Baba z Sopotu.
