Dark is when the doubts come out to play
Whispering sour nothings into your ear
While simultaneously squandering any optimism left
During the day, I'm lighthearted any easygoing
During the dark, I'm bitter and feel it growing
So I'll employ any means to silence themĀ
Waves of pleasure seem to work quite well
At pacifying my deepest, darkest doubts
And as this psychological civil war rages on
The atmosphere is as still as a corpse
Merely awaiting the sun's return
