my two cents on the whole discord thing.. + minor waffling about youtube bs

wow. i- i mean wow i didnt know how things could get any worse than they did last year but faar canal, did they ever! and what's worse is that its only feburaryyyyyy omfg dood.. alright, so, i've been on discord for a while, im not a turbo nerd ultra-condescending veteran of it, im not terminally attached to it, i've got more of a sorta off again on again relationship with the platform and right now, the only thing really justifying the continued existence and use of my account is being used for talking to grand total of one person (sometimes two) who i can reach both of elsewhere anyway, so yk... not the strongest bond but its at least significant to me, only because it predates my gamertag by just over a year but beyond that it just kinda exists :/ not to mention the security of my account is fuckin nonexistent b/c google terminated the account it was tied to meaning i cant do things like change my email or remove my paypal which i do not recall ever actually giving consent to save for later but whatever, im sure thats not suspicious at all.. anyway- i recently heard about the discord's plan to force world wide age verification and while i was kinda planning on abandoning my account, i definitely wasn't ready to do it so soon.. but uhh.. yeah wow. guess i am, huh? and yk, its fascinating to me just how bad things have gotten on the net in just the past year, like, this circa 2012 hobby/lifestyle thing couldn't have come soon enough- i mean holy shit dood, i think this year gonna be a strong contender for 2025's olympic gold medal in wack shit, i really do.. like, just a lil personal thing wanna get of my chest b/c im going through a rough breakup more or less with yt and, like, this age verification was bad when youtube, just out of the blue in 2023 decided on presumably a whim that signing to verify your age was no longer enough to watch age restricted videos and the suddenly in november or december last year that restriction was randomly lifted only to put back on in january, like, someone at youtube must think they're reeeeally fuckin funny.. well, for once the joke is on them b/c the retarded fucking ai face scanner cant tell the difference between a real face and a shitty plastic mask lmaoooooooooo
