On his travels Zeos had met a woman, Elen, they travelled together for months.

This is a little something I wrote about her pov during his execution. It was 2am so there might be mistakes idk.

She remembered the times they passed families on the road, how he’d smile, as if he found them as sweet as she did. But sometimes… she noticed something in his eyes a hint of... Anger? Hatred?
He always had strong emotions, yes, but never acted carelessly. And now… seeing him like this, she realizes maybe she never knew him at all. He'd never shared his past, his intentions, or why he went travelling in the first place. He left suddenly, and she had been heartbroken, confused, shattered. She asked herself why he left.
Now she knows. His goal was to kill Marque—a hero to so many, a man of good heart. His brother. She doesn’t understand ... And why does he look so… contemptuous? He’s about to die!
