END AI USAGE BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE

before i start, i would love if u guys shared, commented, gave kudos, whatever to get this attention. this is something thats very important to me and many others. i would hope this topic is important to you as well.

AI is destroying the planet. genuinely. not only do the cooling centers waste tons of water, but it is increasing carbon admissions. meaning more CO2 is in the air we breath. AI is booming RAPIDLY and improving insanely quickly. "The US is poised to see a 60 to 80 percent increase in electricity demand through 2050, with data centers alone making up more than half of the increase by the end of this decade, the analysis finds." (source) This is genuinely terrifying and you should be scared. us as a species already does so much harm to our planet and environment. using ai is only contributing to more harm. and before anyone comments 'but all internet servers have cooling centers' yes, but ai cooling centers have also contributed much more than cites such as this, youtube, tiktok, etc. 

not only is ai harming the earth as a whole, but the cooling centers are harming the communities near them. "Last year, Alexis lost her grandfather who suffered from a respiratory illness called COPD" says interviewer. "COPD is a breathing condition, but you don't get it unless you smoke cigarettes. And my Granddad didn't smoke cigarettes..." (source) 

If you are pro- ai and thinking "well it doesn't effect my life" it will. ai will almost 100% be able to steal your job eventually, if it hasn't already. Wanna be a musician? AI can do it! Wanna be an artist? AI can do it! Wanna be a mechanic? fully functional ai robots will be able to do it! there is no escaping unless we stop NOW!

STOP using ChatGPT, start using your own thoughts, learn how to draw, commission an artist, create SOMETHING with YOUR hands! 

STOP using character AI, find a real person to roleplay with, write a fanfic, even if you don't post it anywhere!

START putting '-ai' after all of your google searches

START spreading the word on how we can end AI usage before its too late!
