Album Review 1: Pale Machine Review!

doing album reviews might be fun and i havent posted any blogs before so here you go lol

just relistened to pale machine from bo en, it was good!

i used to relisten the album every few months but stopped like a year and a half ago, i got a vid reccomended that had one of the songs and thought id check it out again

this album is very personal to me as i found it in a not so good spot of my life, i think it still holds up even tho its 13 years old, which is older than some people ive met on here lmao

i really like the random little noises and shit bo en uses in this, theres a bunch of noises he uses once and never again. I also like his use of japanese and french, the way theyre used is very natural and doesnt feel forced at all. I also really like his voice and how he uses the vocaloid to contrast it, they sound very nice together

imo the album is about life. it starts out innocent with bright and poppy noises, and slowly becomes more dramatic and, gloomy ig?? generally sadder in my opinion. Maybe its someone looking back on their life as you see the earlier song titles "i miss you" and "be okay", maybe its saying this person misses that early bits of their life and how theyll be okay now that theyre older, in the song winter valentine and pale machine we also see bo en talk about loneliness and supressing emotions which i think he handled pretty well. I saw in an interview that Bo en said that the album meaning could be anything so id love for someone to tell me what they think the album means! 

overall i really like it! production is fun themes are strong bla bla bla

favs from here are probally "be okay", "friend" and "pale machine"

hot take i actually think my time is the worst song on the album, ITS NOT BAD!! i still really like it but compared to the others it just doesnt do that well imo. Funny how its the most popular one and how most people, me included, found the album trough it and omori

kinda weird for my first album review to be of an album i already listened to and ill prob do others like this too, also mb if its messy on the structure and wording lol. Its lowk 2 AM and also im a yapper lolz
