Surprisingly, it's pretty good. I'm not too big on Mayhem just cos I think they're sorta boring. This was one was a solid release though, there was some great songs here and there, Propitious Death is definitely my favorite track in the entire thing. I genuinely don't have much to say it's a very standard black metal release that sounds pretty good, I don't really see people talking about it but I don't blame them all that much honestly. If you like black metal you'll like this but it's nothing mindblowing, like even with Ulver being featured on Ephemeral Eternity that song doesn't neccesarily sound all that different from the rest of the tracklist. It sounds like I'm shitting on this record now that I think about it but again it's pretty good it's just not anything that special. I can't even joke about it like I did with my Megadeth review but it's genuinely just a solid black metal album. Idk just pretend I made a corny joke about Varg and Euronymous being in love and kissing eachother or that this review is really just an edit of Dead.
