40 kudos & I check the haunted Ivorian masks of my basement

Not really hunted, but inhabited by entities, which I think are harmless. It's a bit clickbait I'm sorry lol

In my basement I have Ivorian masks in which the souls of those who wore them are in. It's been ages since I went down to my basement because the atmosphere makes me feel nauseous.(EVEN BEFORE I KNEW ABOUT THOSE MASKS!!)

recently my dad told me about He wanted to listen to an old Cassette recording so he could hear his father's voice again, and he said it might be in the basement. But he doesn't dare go and see because of all the mess there is. I'm very curious so I want to check for that cassette and also see those mysterious masks.

When my father was in Ivory Coast, he bought large quantities of Ivorian masks. One salesperson even refused to look at the masks cause of their strong energy 

My father was known for buying a lot of them and was even suspected of being responsible for stealing a mask from a chief (I don't know a chief of what but don't worry💀).

Quick fact, once, my basement was open and my mother told me that my cats came to sleep near the masks (she didn't come to get them). My father says it's because of the the smell of sweat from the people who danced with those. 

 if it gets 50? 100? Either 30 kudos I will go in the basement, search for it and take pictures. I'm very scared but also so curious!! It's so painful

Duékoué is an Ivorian city. My father probably bought those masks there!

I searched for the masks among the boxes and shelves, and I finally found some. What I'm going to show you is far from the only one my father owns. But these are the only ones I found in the basement 

THE MASKS:

This one contains real fur, I don't know from which animal is this tho. It could be a sheep, but I don't think the fur is curly like sheep are. 

This one look cuter. When I turned the mask over, I wondered how you could breathe with it on lol

Small gaps.  

Ths one look like a bird and it reminded a lot of plague doctor.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any more masks. But I have a little bonus that I found in the mask's beak. 

The date is correct, and it's a picture of my father in Ivory coast. I'm showing it because I have no idea who took the photo, given that he went there alone, but maybe he made some friends during the trip

MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THESE MASKS:

When I went down to the basement there was still this oppressive atmosphere which I calmed by listening to music in my ears so that it wouldn't stop me. Honestly, it was pretty chill. The masks didn't smell of sweat, but of dust and wood, but also of a church, you know the smell of churches?

I found it more interesting than scary, actually. I might continue searching tomorrow, but my goal is to find the cassette where my father recorded his father's voice. I'm going to need to buy a cassette player, but it's worth it, because cassettes are cool.💗
