"I want goth mommy I want goth daddy!!" "Why are no goths wanting me!!" Because you say shit like that. No goths or alternative people in general want YOU because YOU say stuff like that. Sexualizing alternative people won't get an alternative person to like you. That's what these people are doing, sexualizing the style. Same goes to people who say something similar about femboys. Femboy is a style getting me to the other thing I want to rant about. When these who " want femboys" or " goth mommy " see an actually femboy or goth they go " eww what's that!!" Most people who say this think about the e-girls and e-boys on discord. Both an actually femboy and goth look different than the dark e girls and softy e boys these people want.Β

Im not really into goth sub culture or whatever but I have a friend who's really into it and from looking at what he showed me and what I see online it's not even goth it's just people wearing black clothes fishnets black lipstick MAYBE something like chains and saying it's "goth" and people fawn over it and it's just extremely weird to me seeing people fetishize the goth sub culture and stuff and again ITS NOT EVEN GOTH YOU ARE JUST WEARING DARK STUFF

OMG YES THIS SHIT IS SO REAL ever since the subculture has gone kinda "mainstream" it is like always a goddamn problem. Its already hard enough to not be bullied as an alternative person but to have one's subculture watered down to sexual appeal (especially to men, ew) is just fucking disgusting and makes me want to puke. We are so much more than that and it just hurts the whole community I wished people would just fucking stop saying these weird ass things.

When I dated a goth person (who was shitty but not cause they're goth or nothing, just if I sound unfond of them that's why), I swear I got comments daily about how they're hot or how I pulled out of my league or like random shit, and it was kinda weird. Cause we were the "same league" but because they were goth they were apparently a step above me and I "didn't deserve them" despite also being goth (not in fashion, in music). It was weird :/
i used to have friends that would make comments about my girlfriend all the time, some of which being similar to the comments you mentioned. It's so weird how people think it's acceptable to talk about significant others like that.

Ive had a similar experience I'm currently dating not even a goth but alt, my boyfriend. I've had people say similar things about him being hot and being out my league although in my case I kinda understand the out of my league thing as when we first started dating oh my day I WAS UGLY I was a stupid nerd who wore grandma clothes and had the longest most feminine hair... Thankfully I don't look like this anymore but I'm getting off topic sorry,,, I think its really weird for people to say stuff about a person ESPECIALLY someone else's partner
