My Thoughts Are Spiraling
My thoughts are spiraling inside my mind
As I watch youthful students mess around.
More worries pile upon my injured spine;
The bills rack up, my debt is much more bound.
I often think too much of my career
And what may others try to simplify,
But they don't see my mind is never clear
And for so long I've tried to just get by.
There's so much drama causing me to think
Of what I may have missed being naive,
Which causes me to go over the brink
While Mother's death is fresh, I still will grieve.
Despite all this, some others helped me know:
My heart still has true kindness; love still grows.
