Glorification of sacrifices and hardwork should come with a lease of cautions. Nobody tells you the midnight chills, the panic attacks, the expectations, how you are torn between listening to your body and mind. Praising the smart should not come with shaming the average. I think the world needs more grey areas. The headaches, the body pain, dehydration just for some teachers to grade you based on their mood, and then automatically "you didn't study enough" label that is put, should be banned. Nobody understands the importance of words and internalizations, how sensitive the education system needs to be when its dealing with students.
The b&w category is more useless in colleges, where grade isn't just based on how much one mugged up a single book. SES, access to resource, everything matters that many students don't know.. the injustice that strikingly exhibits itself is, you might be judged for not knowing something you didn't even know existed.
