Dork Diaries overrated?

So I may get some hate for saying this but in my opinion Dork Diaries is overrated and the writing isn´t that good. I have read almost all the books and it starts to feel that every book has the same plot with a little twist. It´s always Nikki and Mackenzie beefing and then Brandon. 

The artwork is nice and I´m in love with the outfits, but Nikki´s writing style just pmo. Like girl, you´re in eighth grade and write like you´re in 5th grade. It´s just so childlish, and middle school isn´t what she describes in the books. 

But thats just my opinion, keep reading the books if you want, I just cant stand them.
