PROM DILLEMA - Updating Blog Entry/Diary (For Advice)

p.s. - for any of my added friends reading this post, yes, this is already a bulletin! 

this post is a little serious. so, my junior (year 12/grade 11 for my non-american friends) prom is suspected to be in april. i need some serious help with a predicament i've been having.

one of my friends is going through some mess with her boyfriend (he's being avoidant and is said to "not have his act together") and he's even said that he might not even go to prom. i don't want my friend to NOT go to prom. it's a great experience. i went to our homecoming dance for the first time this year due to being voted on for the court and it was awesome. basically, my school's dances have been awesome. anyways, back on my friend.

i really wanna ask her to prom.

I KNOW THIS SOUNDS BADDDD but i've been making jokes about it. the main problem is that it's not necessarily a joke anymore...

WHAT DO I DOOOOOO I NEED ADVICE 

if her boyfriend isn't taking her to prom then I AM (if they break up of course)
