Being grateful is ironic and paradoxical

Being grateful is not being grateful because if you were being grateful that would be something to be grateful about

Being grateful as selfish because you have a reason to be grateful while others do not

Only you have the privilege to be grateful

And being grateful for a privilege, is not being grateful , its selfish

Being grateful to god is stupid because there is infinitely more of “bad” stuff in this world than “good”

You’re not being grateful  to god, you are being grateful for being privileged

This “unequalness” that god created is not something to be grateful about

Leaving “god” aside because that argument is stupid and Wayne and I do not want to talk about imaginary stuff.

As Niccolo Machiavelli implied, humans are born dumb and evil. humans are naturally evil, and egocentric, that‘s why they can feel "grateful" for not being in someone else‘s situation. Only when you become hyper self aware, and also aware of other people also being complex human beings you stop being grateful to god or whatever deity you follow and mybe focus on helping the less fortunate.

Yup das what im trying to articulate :>

But saying that humans are born evil and dumb is probably just him justifying or explaining the horrible things men did historically

How can you be grateful for not having a life-threatening disease?, For not dying in a hurricane., for not having chronic pain or illness or any illness, were not being born in a certain way, for being healthy for not dying in war, for not being a victim, for not being exploited,
when 99% of people who live on this earth or used to have or had to suffer.
You’re grateful just because you don’t have to suffer , while everyone else does. Or you suffer as well, but still, you are grateful, it doesn’t make sense.
Being grateful as seen as something virtuous, moral, when it’s quite the opposite.

People who are grateful and believe in it, please, and enlighten me, I’m just a kid and I don’t know.

Yes, this is a bit exaggerated and maybe being grateful isn’t too deep

But I feel like being grateful is for the privileged, under the way for them to uphold that privilege, to say that they deserve it. Yes everyone deserves a basic standard of life, but only a few have it, having the bare minimum is a huge privilege

being grateful for the bare minimum is scary , because it means that not everyone can have the bare minimum.(not everyone deserves it, but you do because you justify it by “being grateful”)
