The heart’s need for proof, even for things that are painfully obvious, is deeply distressing.
Whether in romantic relationships, depression, or after losing a loved one… Continuing to hold onto hope for something that has clearly ended, believing that it will one day pass, becomes an endless dead end—where the mind makes empty promises and the heart chooses to believe them.
What is over is over. If we cannot even take back a single passing second, why do we still demand evidence that the opposite will not happen?
Is that evidence created by what we experience, or by what we want to experience? And what is the true source of the motivation behind it?
Why do we ask for evidence even when the truth is obvious?
