(reposting the bulletin i made right after i had finished playing)
this game was amazing and i loved it and i hope i don't just forget abt it next week and i am in love with that animation style and-
but i still wish they explored more the whole "Robert can't say he's Mecha Man cuz Flambae would kill him" thing. personally, i chose not to reveal that secret, so i don't know how Flambae reacts to it and if it is a big deal (although i suspect it isnt but dont tell me, i want to play this game again and see for myself what the other options are like). thing is, if Robert doesnt tell that to the Z-team directly, Chase says it during the party literally 1 ep later, and everybody gasps but it doesnt change a thing cuz Flambae (the only one who would care) is conveniently absent, and from that im assuming none of his friends told him abt the revelation afterwards (which i suppose is believable, they probably didnt want Robert killed at that point, but still). and then the next big interaction these 2 have is during the final fight, in which Flambae literally fights alongside Mecha Man and see Robert coming out of the suit and there is not a single reaction from him (i get that those scenes had other priorities but c'mon, they had time for dick jokes, they totally had time for that). my guess is that he forgives the protagonist after realising he's actually a good person blahblah but it happens offscreen with no mentions of it. but as a writer i just know they ignored the earth-shatering event that would be Flambae as an antagonist cuz they needed Mecha Man alive. it still feels like a lost opportunity, specially after they show us flashbacks that prove that guy was terrifying villain.
also fuck Invisigal. by what i understood, she'd rather afilliate with a gang and blow a man to pieces instead of trying to quit smoking to help her asthma. and then she whines abt people not seeing her as a hero, as if she didnt deliberatly ruin nearly every mission and exposed other people to danger while on the team (of the man she ruined the life of btw). and if u dont forgive her for trying to kill you she turns into a villain by the end of the game.
also never bought the whole "my powers are too evil so i cant be a hero" thing, judge me but i think turning invisible while holding your breath (as an asthmatic) is a pretty basic super power, specially for someone on a team with a giant bat, a man with super strenght and pain imunity, another guy who can set things on fire, a girl who can blind people and make clones, a demon woman who creates portals, and a giant made out of rocks or whatever. if she cant be a super hero, its probably her personality (also it doesnt really work when Sue Storm has already been invented).
