What’s the best way to start programming?

I have very limited programming experience, but I’ve wanted to learn for a long time. I’ve tried a few YouTube tutorials and some websites, but I feel I might learn better through a different approach. Maybe working on a small personal project or something similar, which I think would be more motivating for me.

What approach did you find actually worked for you? How did you move forward after that, and what do you currently use programming for?

(not sure if this is relevant, but I once tried to port a mc mod to another version, partly because I wanted to play it on a newer release, and partly to get a feel for what programming was like and whether it could be useful for me.)

It depends on what you wanna code in

I'm learning C++ and I'm just looking at tutorials on the Internet and things like that for HTML there's usually classes you can take and stuff there should be websites or sources that can help you code if you just look them up

I studied in a high school where one of the subjects was programming. I think if you start an online course and practice during the course, you can learn programming faster. A good website for practicing programming is CodeSandbox.
