GIVE ME REPRESENTATION

So I’ve recently been thinking about how I will watch any tv show or movie as long as it’s lesbian. It does not have to have good representation, be in a specific genre, or even good. It just has to have a lesbian relationship in it. This just made me reflect on how utterly starved of representation lesbians are in general. Not to mention, lesbians who are people of color. The conservative Christian ideology is so ingrained into the mainstream world that most children don’t even know that same sex marriages exist. Ik that this is kind of just like a “grass is green” kind of complaint but genuinely it makes you think how fucked up is human nature to the point that an ancient system of control is still being used to silence and cause harm to marginalized communities to such a large extent, and how are people so unsympathetic towards these minorities. Is it because it’s evolutionary to dislike people different than you, or is it because they’re manipulated by religion to feel the way they do? Or maybe religion justifies their hate but deepens it. Anyway this got kind of off topic but I’d love it if anyone who has something to say would say it in the comments.
