Being alternative is just about.... looks? the answer is: NO

🇧🇷: eu não sei vocês gente, mas depois que eu comecei a trabalhar e a amadurecer e a fazer todas essas m*rdas de vida adulta... percebi que, ser alternativo não é só necessariamente "ter uma roupa diferente das outras e sair na rua sem ligar pra nenhuma opinião!" 

ser uma pessoa com gostos alternativos vai muito além disso, é você ter uma mentalidade que vá contra o padrão que despreza pessoas com gostos diferentes e apenas segue uma linha reta, uma coisa que vejo muito são pessoas com estilos alternativos desfrutando disso e apoiando causas que vão contra o que lhe é dito, como pessoas que se denominam "góticas" mas apoiam o consumismo em massa.

acho que entender a história da subcultura que você faz parte é um pilar essencial além da estética, e mesmo se não fizer parte de nenhuma, sempre ter respeito e ter em mente que aquilo que você apoia impacta diretamente em como aquilo é visto por todos.

sinta-se a vontade para ter o estilo que quiser, mas sempre com respeito e consciência de que você nao deve fazer um chaveiro de subculturas que se contrariam.

🇺🇸: I don't know about you guys, but after I started working and maturing I realized that being alternative isn't just necessarily "having different clothes and going out on the street without caring about any opinions!" 

Being a person with alternative tastes goes much further than that, it means having a mentality that goes against the norm that despises people with different tastes and just follows a straight line, one thing I see a lot is people with alternative styles enjoying this and supporting causes that go against what they are told, like people who call themselves "goths" but support mass consumerism.

I think that understanding the history of the subculture you are part of is an essential pillar beyond aesthetics, and even if you are not part of any, always be respectful and keep in mind that what you support directly impacts how it is seen by everyone.

Feel free to have whatever style you want, but always with respect and awareness that you shouldn't make a keychain from subcultures that contradict each other.
