The Barberini coat of arms can be seen at the rim of the top, in brass, it is also shown in marble at each plinth, were the woman's face is shown.
Another important detail of this piece is the brass orb and cross at the very top. This is supposed to represent "God's grace among the earth" and among St. Peter. I am not religious at all, not one bit but I find these details interesting especially because an element of the Baroque period is "the divine light of god", this is where light from above would be casted upon where a religious figure is shown. Similar to the "halos" placed on religious figures head's during the Renaissance.
