Horrible dreams

Ive been having some.pretry bad nightmares as of late and I'm not entirely sure why. However I think last night's dream really takes the top spot for most uncomfortable dream I've ever had. 

CW: Blood, death, Scorpions, and genuinely uncomfortable medical stuff.

So, it began with me finding out that people in my town had been dying in large numbers and their bodies looked like they'd been eaten away from the inside. I decided to do some investigating of my own since the town police were less than helpful. So I took the train out towards the forests where people were being found. 

Once I got there, and after wandering the wood and the old abandoned buildings in said woods for a while, I found what I was looking for. I met a small group of people in an abandoned house, I talked with them for a while but my questions just made them angrier and angrier. Before I even had a chance to leave they pinned me down and forcibly injected me with what they had put into themselves. Once it was down they finally let me know what it was. Scorpion eggs. According to them it was the final step in their cults mission. They needed to be eaten by the insect their God had chosen in order to reach ascension. 

Obviously I ran. I ran like the wind all the way back to the train station all while panicking that I only had 20-48 hours to find a way to get these bug eggs out of me before they hatched and killed me. 

The first thing I did once I was back in town was go to the nearest clinic. I told them.everything that had happened only to be laughed at told that "if I didn't want it. Maybe I shouldn't have gone looking." As much as it hurt to hear that, I didn't give up. I left and made my way to the next town over so I could go to the hospital. 

There I was finally taken seriously but there wasn't much they could do. The did an ultra sound of my viens and managed to remove a fair bit of the eggs but they told me that more of them could have traveled to my other limbs or into my brain. They said the best thing I could do was pump my system full of iron. Iron pills, eating iron rich foods, anything to get my iron levels high enough that the eggs couldn't survive in my blood. 

And then my alarm went off and I nearly cried tears of relief that I was just a dream and not real.
