KH3 + RE9 Rant kuz I want to

Omggg, so like WHO was gonna tell me Resident Evil 2 Remake came out on the same date as Kingdom Hearts III....NOBODY!?!?? LIKE WHAT!!!

~Kingdom Hearts III~

So, January 25th of 2019 (Ik I'm a few days late to this lol) marks 7 years since Kingdom Hearts III came out which is honestly kinda crazy to me because I still remember when we got the Monsters Inc. teaser, and when bus stops had KH3 advertised. Like now way its been 7 YEARS since we got that. I was actaully in the 6th grade when KH3 came out (and we still got no KH4) and I remember the pure excitement for the game, espically because Frozen was going to be in it, and I always dreamed to play Kingdom Hearts with Elsa when I was younger.

Then playing the actual game. Even better. I loved all the new worlds. Everthing looks so clean and high quality. And there were NPCs in Twilight Town. ACTUAL WALKING NPCs. I think the only true complaint as a kid I had with the game was Cloud wasn't in it (I love Cloud) and then Scala ad Caelum was a really difficult section. But despite everything, I still loved it.

Actually, I lied, I totally forgot about the fact I hated how every little thing was a cutscene. Which is really ironic kuz I actually hated how I had to read speech bubbles in the older games. I remember wishing those speech bubbles were voiced or a cutscene. Now I wish for the days of simple text dialog and speech bubbles.

                                                                              

I have since and gone back to replay it, with a more educated mind at that, and for sure I do see all it's flaws and why so many people were disappointed in it. I was really shocked to find that out when I first entered the online Kingdom Hearts fandom. I literally had no idea how divided people's opinions were on KH3. I still don't think it's that bad of a game, and I truly belive it's one of the best in the series, but it does feel a bit janker in combat compared to KH2, also don't think Attractions are that bad either, like some of them are fun and useful, and if you really don't like them, you can also just...yk...Not use them lol...My true set of complaints are honstly to do with the story and how it ended. Not to mention Kairi...Now that there is a rant I can go on about for ages...

I have a lot to say about Kairi's charater...but I'll save that for another time

All I have to say is I love Kingdom Hearts III and it's so crazy to think how it's been 7 years since it's release and how much I've also grown since then. Time sure is weird.

Ok, enough with the mushy, mushy, KH3 nostalgia, HAVE YOU SEEN HOW SEXY LEON KENNEDY IS IN THAT NEW GAMEPLAY VIDEO, LIKE YASS!!!

So, I actually don't know when exactly they released the gameplay. I know Capcom had made a small post talking about the 7 year release of RE2R, but it wasn't till I went on YouTube the next day to see the videos on my recommend, so I am assuming it was released as a sorta treat for the 7 years RE2R. 

But omg DOSE IT LOOK SO GOOD!!

I love that (supposed) 51 year old man so much. His finishers look soooo gooooddddd. I personally love the style they're going with him, and his new sub weapon looks so kool. I also just absolutely love the amount of blood splatter they included with the deaths. Plus, Chainsaw Leon. 10/10. I need that frr. Like, just looks so goood, I literally CAN'T get over it. I just love him so much. I'm so happy he's here. The game looks like a lot of fun. I currently don't have a PC to play it, however I plan on selling some of my collectables to hopefully save up for a SteamDeck. Praying I'll be able to play it by April. I'll just have to avoid spoilers by then. :(

On another note, I'M SO EXCITED TO SEE GRACE!! I love female protagonist who a scared of everything and are filled with anxiety!! (They honestly remind me of myself) I loved seeing her in the gameplay showcase, I think her studder is really cute, and just in general I love her voice. She reminds a lot of Ashley and Rose, who I also love, and I'm genuinely really excited to see her grown throughout the series, and I am kind of sad that not too many people have been showing love like they do Leon. Which I kinda of get, but still, I think theres a lot of potential for her, and I'm glad we are getting a new protagonist.

I also have some theories on who we might see next in Requiem. I think our chances of seeing Ada again is almost 100%. So far (to my knowledge) there hasn't been a game with Leon where Ada wasn't also there. I highly doubt she won't make an apprence of some kind. Another small theory I have is the possablity of seeing Jill Valentine. I think our chances of her showing up is like 30%. I only really say this because I know the big rumor around RE9 for a while was that it was gonna be a Jill and Leon game (which I would love). However Jill being the protagonist was debunked when Grace was introduced. But since the Leon rumor was TRUE, I still think there is a small possibility she can make some kind of appearance.

My other theory is maybe seeing Rose?? I only thought about this since some people online were like "ROSE CONFIRMED LEAK THANKS TO STEAM STORE" but then no one shows the leak?? I honstly doubt that we will see Rose, epically since if she is there, then Chris has gotta be there, and I feel like we've got enough of him alreday idk. BUT!! Theoretically...I'm curious it if would be Rose at 5 years old, or Rose at 16(I think). We're not given a specific year for her DLC but either way, 2022 to 2027/28, she would be 5ish years old in this timeline. I can't imagine her having that big of a role in the game, unless of course we're still figuring things out about the mold and Mother Miranda. But at the same time, if this was Rose at age 5 and see experience something, I'm sure the devs would have thought of that and hinted at it durring her DLC, which to my memory, they only real discussion she has about her pass is about Chris wanting her to be an agent and I don't think thats something he would've said to her at 5 lol.

 

 The other side to this theroy I have is the possibility of Rose rapid aging. Since Rose is part of mold and has be compared to be like Eveline from RE7, it could be possible she had experience so much childhood bullying that it caused her to age a lot faster than expected. Similar to how Evie wanted a family so bad, and when she was overcomed with anger, she rapid age form 10 years old to like 90 or whatever lol. So in the case of Rose, she would have gone from child age to teenage/young adult age. Of coures, We don't really know if Rose does have the ablity to rapid age/experience rapid aging so I can's say for sure if this is even possible. 

I also saw some people say that Claire and Sherry will possibly be in the game as some theroized to be the women talking to Leon on the comms, but I honestly doubt thats who's Leon is talking about. I think we're all aware Capom hates Claire for no reason, but we also might be getting a Code: Veronica remake, so maybe they'll hold out on Claire for a while. I would say Sherry is probbly the more likely charater Leon is talking to, and I love Sherry so much, I would LOVE to see her again, but I garantee that the real charater talking to Leon on the comms is Hannigan. It's always been Hannigan. Hannigan has always been there to help and nagivate Leon, I high doubt they'll get rid of our office siren queen.
