Philosophy club's actually fun

Tuesday the club leader came for his weekly "hey remember the philo club at lunch time... yeah it still exist... wanna join ?" n for the first time sum ppl actually joined ! Yeah... or my friends were just bored x)

Was already in the club actually. Just in October I offed this fetishist dude frm my life, n suddenly realized he had gotten himself into my whole life : subscribed to my clubs, talked to my guys, knew my schedule... Everything everywhere every time. Creep was waiting fr me to come back to him "like they always do" but tf does he thinks I am. When I blocked him he tried to be extra friends w my friends n it worked so I stopped hanging out with them n he backed off for good from everything. Would've liked sum help from those friends or even just ppl in general, not that I didn't ask fr it but that they didn't care.

Whatever first time philo club was full xD Today's question was smth like "Are humans naturally egotistic or altruist ?" n idk I just said smth like humans are egotistical by nature. They can only perceive the world n others through they're own prisms so the only thing they confront themselves to's actually just themselves. Make it for everyone in the world and ur not surprised that this society's dysfunctional, individualist n egotistic. Humans r animals n they're primal instinct's to fear what they can't understand n so activate a survival mode : control. If they control shit it will not be a problem anymore. But by controlling it they just reduce it, project they're thought on it, n overall it's not the thing they tryna control but themselves. Although Humans r qualified as "sociable animals" n some "altruist", it's just survival instinct. But we think that what separates humans from animals is their reflexive consciousness, so humans r doomed to be egotistical since their ability to distinguish themselves or even just to think's through themselves, n even the sentence "it's the other that tells me my story" isn't proof that humans r altruist, it's a proof that humans r over conscious of themselves cause of others so they just need others to nourish their egos. The other tells me I'm alive just because we not the same person (but if wanna go further since the other is "unknown" he's a possible source of danger so you fear him n try to control him so you control the way he acts/talks to you but in the end you create a code of patterns of recognitions to feel safe (social codes). Than you establish it with another one but they're different so you gotta either hate them as a way to protect yourself, either force them into ur established codes you made with the first one. n in the end we may seem sociable but it's just because we're lost, frightened n weak so we must survive by ego power dynamics within a community.)

3 seconds silence. All eyes on me. Then whole room goes clapping crazy (probably just one of my guys started it x)) n goes saying "smart" or "I didn't get anything you said". So I kinda just left.. Good thing outta this : a girl noticed I exist n stared at me for 1h straight tday. Taking a lesson out of this one : always talk philo to girls

whatever :3
