I think services like bluesky/mastodon, protoweb, spacehey, neocities, and webrings in general are the future of the internet moving forward. The only way to fight AI, dead internet theory, and anything conceptually inhuman, is by being and creating in ways that are as human as possible. The way forward is through decentralized apps and proxy services that either emulate how the internet once was, or allows us to morph it into what we wish it to become without the influence of artificial intelligence, or massive corporations. The internet is not dead. Its just that humanity has seeped into its corners, waiting to be found once again.

i think we are seeing the resurgence of web 1 (and even early 2.0), and i think its great!
agreed!!! I think its (for more or less) awesome! I just hope we leave behind the security flaws of web 1.0 haha
