I Wish to Start a Friend Group

I've always wanted to have a small friend group where we could chat, hang out, watch movies or even play games together. The issue is that it's very difficult to form said group unless they already know one another. Otherwise, if you try to get two of your friends to warm up to each other, they most likely won't be able to form a connection based off of mutual interests.
