I wasn’t sure under what category to put this since it’s about any kind of fictional character/persona…
Did anyone ever have an obsession with a character so bad that it’s been lasting years and you made your whole life about that character? Well that’s happening to me with Daisuke..
So I’ve known Mouthwashing basically since it came out and when I once watched a gameplay of it from markiplier (I think) I saw Daisuke and I loved him from the start. I love his design, how happy he always is. Just being that “useless ray of goddamn sunshine”. Or how much I relate to the parts we see of how expresses himself. So since that day in 2024, I’m so obsessed with him and I’m sure I’d probably defend him with all I could. And if I realise I’m not able to continue to talk, I’d probably block the person I discuss with…
And it’s crazy to say this, but making my personality Daisuke, kind of got me out of a deep depression era. I’ve been a way happier person since :) so I guess it’s not a bad kind of obsession…? Also I lowkey started liking summer bc of him due to me imagining that he LOVES summer and loves doing beach activities
I NEED OPINIONS ON THIS GUYS.

Yes I am the same sorta so I understand. I am like this with a Black Ops 2 character (Albert Arlington), I even named myself after him when I came out as transgender. I personally don't see an issue with this as long as you're happy and it's not hurting you or anyone else. If it's becoming harmful maybe you should take a step back from this.
It was never harming but I’m just thinking “is it really healthy to be so attached to a character”
Also tbh same about the trans part… no name feels right but Dai/Daisuke… I don’t want others to think that I’m taking the name from some anime character tho
