my ex crush is flirting w/me? or am i being delusional?

I’ve noticed lately that my ex-crush has been really nice to me. Like, every time our eyes meet, he smiles. Of course, being a decent person, I smile back. But I started getting more suspicious yesterday afternoon.

We had a quiz, and the professor told us to exchange papers with the person sitting next to us. I was sitting behind him, and I already exchanged papers with the person beside me. He was seated in front of me, and instead of swapping papers with the person next to him like he was supposed to… he chose me.

Out of all the people he could’ve exchanged papers with, why me? Like, what the hell? He should’ve just exchanged with the person beside him, not me.

I really don’t want to assume that he might be into me too, but my gut feeling is getting ahead of me. Please, I don’t want to fall for you again. You’re so hard to un-crush. 😭
