[1/25/26] weekly blog ☆ week 3

week 3 of 2026!! yaaaaaay!! thanks for all the kudos on my last post :-)

woke up and immediately got on that #GrindSet because i had a bunch of assignments due later that night :P unfortunately i learned that i had to pay 137 USD out of pocket for an online compTIA course that SHOULD have been included as a charge on my college tuition imo -_- and $137 is the DISCOUNTED student price!! that's fucking crazy innit!!

got all that shit done pretty quickly though. after i was done with all my work, i went ahead and RSVP'ed for my own commencement ceremony in may! yay!! it did hit me with the concrete reality that i'll be graduating in less than 6 months though. and then i'll have to figure out wtf i'm going to do with my life after that. bleh.

went to go pick up candy at 2:45 PM so we could go get our flu shots together at CVS. one of the best friendship bonding activities is getting a needle stuck in your arm together <3 anyways i made an appointment the night before for 3:00 PM so i expected to be seen at 3:00 PM. unfortunately they were apparently understaffed and candy and i ended up waiting a full 30 minutes for the vaccine guy to see us X_X while we were sitting there waiting the most bizarre music kept coming on over the radio. apparently this is a Thing with CVS. i saw this tweet the other day about someone going into a CVS and hearing fucked up circus music.

after we got our shots, we both got a sticker. check it out.

left CVS and headed back to candy's apartment to eat dinner and chill and watch youtube and do a bit more homework. i actually ended up showing them spacehey because i was working on last week's blog while i was over there!! they ended up making a profile on here and everything. if you're reading this candy hi LOL

headed back home afterwards and had some leftover boneless wings from my triple dipper. went to bed feeling REAL healthy (said as if i didn't eat three donuts and buldak and boneless wings for the entirety of the day)

had a wonderful and fulfilling breakfast consisting of the rest of my triple dipper (a slider and a mozzarella... slab thing). thankfully i didn't have to open this morning so i was able to leave my apartment at around 10:50!

unfortunately because of the really shitty winter weather conditions here in ohio, there was a lot of ice and snow in my apartment parking lot. which i ended up slipping on trying to get to my car. i slipped down a small hill trying to get to my car and my lower back hit the curb. X_X to add insult to injury, i had to immediately get up and start frantically brushing my car off to get the snow off of it so i could go to work. BLEHHH

because of that little fiasco, i ended up being a little late to work, but thankfully it was slow enough that it didn't cause any problems. my back was killing me a little, but i popped some ibuprofen and that helped. :P

law ended up visiting me during my shift and he brought me some donuts and this super cute horse plushie from the grocery store next door :D he's a real one

after i got home, i hopped on minecraft with cherry and skulb and finally set up our modded server! it's SOOO fucking fun omfg. i haven't played survival minecraft in a while because i usually fuck around in creative mode so i ended up forgetting a lot of basic crafting recipes LOL. also i haven't really played a lot of the newer versions of minecraft past like 1.12 so i was kind of a fish out of water. honestly it was kind of cool finding new shit in the vanilla game that i'd never seen before.

thankfully class got cancelled before 10 AM again because of the subzero temperatures! thank god. i fucking hate applied embedded systems. i think it's the funniest thing in the world that it keeps getting cancelled. it's like god himself is giving me a little break from this bullshit class.

honestly not a whole lot even happened on this day. i don't even have a picture to put here! just went to class, left, ate dinner, and went to bed basically. sometimes no news is good news, as they say.

had to wake up at 6:30 AM to get to my cybersecurity lab at 7:45 AM orz

it was cold as BALLS outside. unsurprisingly. the upside of getting to class so early though is that i was able to easily get a parking spot, which isn't usually the case. also the sunrise was gorgeous as fuck i'm not gonna lie. take a look.

unfortunately my lab ran until around 9:20 so i had to immediately leave from class to go straight to work and open at 9:30. i can tell you right now this is probably going to make the rest of my wednesdays this semester kind of miserable but we soldier on

unsuccessfully tried to ask my coworker who was coming in at 11 AM to bring me a sausage egg and cheese sandwich from dunkin. they didn't read the messages i sent before they arrived </3

i ended up getting doordash as a special little treat because i knew that the poptarts i had at like 7 AM were definitely NOT going to carry me through the day until 5 PM when i would clock out. i got a really fancy waffle from a local waffle-centric restaurant... it was a turtle waffle so it had chocolate sauce and caramel and pecans and chocolate chips and whipped cream... god i'm drooling just thinking about it. and i got it with a side of bacon as a savory little snack.

not even an hour after i absolutely demolished my waffle, the local marco's pizza called us and asked to trade. and who am i to turn down free food? so my coworker and i asked for a half-cheese half-pepperoni pizza with cheesy bread in exchange for giving the marco's staff some drinks. pretty damn good deal if you ask me. i actually even got to take some home.

stopped at sheetz to get gas after clocking out because it was currently about 30 something degrees outside and i knew that the rest of the week was going to be even colder. unfortunately this came with having to deal with crazy 5 PM campus traffic trying to get back to my apartment. not even exaggerating it added an extra 20 minutes to my commute. bleh

after i finally got back, we celebrated my roommate lauren's birthday! (which was actually the next day but all of us were busy so. yeah) she bought a dairy queen ice cream cake for all of us to share. despite stuffing my face at work, i still managed to have room for a big ol' slice of ice cream cake. my roommates started watching the lorax in the living room and admittedly i locked in for a good hour or so before slinking off back to my room to take a shower.

one of the unfortunate side effects of having my hands under water constantly at work is that my hands get PAINFULLY dry in the winter. i put lotion on them and that shit BURNED!!! so fucking annoying -_-

also i noticed there was a nasty ass bruise on my back from where it hit the curb on monday. euugh

finally had to go to the evil and sinister applied embedded systems class because it was actually warm enough to have class. the last 30 minutes of our class period was spent in the lab doing some bullshit with LEDs. it was a complete clusterfuck because the lab room was at full capacity and it is definitely Not meant to be. here's some bullshit my lab partner and i did:

yeah, i don't know what i'm looking at either. fuck this class.

anyways, after i left, i walked over to the dining hall with my capstone group members to get a deli sandwich and chill in the basement until my next class at 1:10 PM! turns out we all have a lot more in common than i thought. it's really nice that i'm able to hang out with people from my major. i got a ham and fresh mozzarella sandwich on a toasted hoagie bun with a dr. pepper and that shit was divine.

oddly enough, someone who worked at the dining hall had apparently put on a 2016 music playlist. while we sat in the basement, my ears were blessed with fetty wap, the chainsmokers, and other pop songs that were real hits in 2016. kind of beautiful.

at one point, my group member, tina, asked us if we have any social media. we all exchanged instagrams and i very quickly realized that i am definitely kind of. chronically online compared to everyone else in this group. gulp. it's okay though they think i'm funny so basically it doesn't matter

in our capstone class, the teacher made an announcement prior to class telling us that the dean of the college of aeronautics and engineering was inviting a Special Guest to tour the building and that included eavesdropping on our capstone class for some reason. so we had to be on our best behavior... unfortunately, all of my group members collectively agreed that we were ridiculously tired and were fighting to stay awake LMFAO. it's okay though the so-called guest never even ended up coming over to our table anyways so. lol

4 out of 5 of us have the same bullshit class after capstone and we all agreed that we were just going to sign the attendance sheet at the beginning of class and then slowly trickle out. to avoid suspicion, we put our backpacks in our cars and then sat down in class with just a pen. after signing the sheet, we all found ways to leave. tina just got up to go to the bathroom and never came back. meanwhile, i pretended to take an important call and walk outside of the classroom and just kept walking all the way to the parking lot. LOL

went and picked up candy from their class at 5 PM so they could come over to my apartment and do some more laundry! we were both starving so we went to raising cane's and got the fabled three finger combo... so yummy delicious...

after they did their laundry and i dropped them back off, i hopped onto the modded minecraft server again and had a gay old time. cherry and skulb kept stealing my horse named Clone Sex (named that way because it was the product of my horse who had somehow been cloned breeding with the clone) and i don't know why but it made me hysterical to the point where i was cry-laughing LOL. had me shouting ridiculous shit like "YOU STOLE FIZZY LIFTING DRINKS!! YOU STOLE CLONE SEX!!"

got up at 6:45 AM in the morning to drive candy to their job because it was literally -2 degrees outside and there is no way in hell i would just let them freeze to death walking out there. went to bed like immediately afterwards so it wasn't a huge deal or anything. i ended up actually picking them back up later because it somehow got Worse outside and i was handsomely rewarded with a crisp dr. pepper.

had another awesome Mental Illness Moment that completely destroyed my ability to do anything meaningful before going to work! i did manage to make myself some buldak for dinner though so maybe it wasn't all bad

also i got a text before i went to work that my college and all of its satellite campuses would be closed on monday. keep in mind my school is notorious for NOT closing at all during the winter so that's how i knew shit was about to go DOWN on monday. as i type this there's currently like a foot of snow outside. gulp.

as i left for work, i slipped and fell AGAIN!! i was already pissed off at everything so this really did not help matters. also it was really embarrassing because i basically did a full split before falling over. i don't think anyone saw though

had a pretty bad rush at work around 6-7 (sigh) but other than that work was pretty normal all things considered! found this awesome gold ship post it note on the wall.

decided to stop at meijer after i got out of work and the shelves were BARREN. i don't know if it was just because i went at like 10:30 PM or if it was because everyone was panic buying shit for the upcoming winter storm... either way it kind of shocked me.

got back home afterwards and had a wonderful meal consisting of my leftover marco's and a rum and coke that was just a little too strong. yummy.

hung out with cherry and then fell asleep peacefully :D

woke up and immediately started packing my stuff up to go back to my parents' house for a bit. i wasn't planning on staying the night, because all of the snow would start falling at 2 AM on sunday morning and i didn't want to get trapped 30 minutes away. after all, i have work on monday, so i kind of need to be close by. :P

left at around 10 AM and grabbed a red velvet latte from a local coffee place near my house. this was SO scrumptious.

after i got back, i had some chipped beef and gravy but my dad forgot to wash the chipped beef before putting it in the gravy so it was like. unbearably salty. i literally couldn't even finish it. he couldn't either! he was literally like That was disgusting LMFAO.

didn't really do a whole lot for the rest of the day! had dinner at 5 PM. my dad made spaghetti and meatballs and homemade garlic bread which was absolutely divine. got to take some leftovers back with me to my apartment.

most of the day was spent getting ready for the metric shitton of snow that would hit the next day. which is the day that i'm writing this blog. and i can say that i'm definitely glad that i have all this food and stuff because there was no way in hell i was gonna leave this apartment today LOOOOL
