I have been catching up on movies I've been missing out on. During October, I had a Harry Potter marathon but only made it half way through Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Luckily, I've been able thrift movies 1,2,5,6 and 7 Part 2. I also thrifted the first three The Matrix movies, and i the first three because up until yesterday, I thought there were only three but a fourth film was released in 2021. I've only seen the first one and there are a lot of body horror moments that made me contemplate finishing the movie. But I pushed though and made it to the end and it was a pretty good movie! I also thrifted Ultraviolet staring Milla Jovovich and what I can say is, if bad CGI is a movie turnoff for you, I suggest you sit this one out. It is jarring and unfinished at best and is the reason the film bombed at the box office in 2006.However, if you are able to look past the CGI, then this film is a great Sci-fi Action film with a great storyline. I recommend it. I have also been trying to find the Underworld franchise on DVD. I have films 2 and 3 but they're in full screen. I know this is just me but when I watch on my widescreen tv, i like my movies to be widescreen. I have a full frame 4.3 tv but my DVD player doesn't work. The last thrift store I was at had the first three Underworld films on DVD and the next time I'm able to go back, I will be snagging myself a copy of each. I'm sure you can tell my now, 2026 is the year i get into sci-fi, action, and thriller movies! I haven't decided but I think my next blog post will be a list of all the titles I have.
