I love rock so much wtf. specifically from the 80's or just previous years! and no, not only nirvana. i mean they're ABSOLUTELY AWESOME , I'M IN LOVE WITH COME AS YOU ARE. i also heavily like queen 🤤 i had a phase with them in 2024 , it was pretty cringy since i used to only listen to don't try suicide erm. but i also love good old-fashioned lover boy 🥶 i also RECENTLY discovered the offspring , which if you don't know , is also a rock band , they're so peak im crying. i only listened to self esteem but i have yet to discover others. BUT I NEED MORE BANDS. i mostly know these from my father since he has a ravishing taste , why couldn't i grow up in the 80's sigh. but im extremely sure many other people know more so help or dont , we dont care

you absolutely have to tap into david bowie if u haven’t yet, he’s soooo good
What i would really advise doing is searching for what u wanna find in rock, bcs it’s a really REALLY broad genre
For example, you mentioned Nirvana, which is considered grunge. Some grunge bands i love are Soundgarden or Alice in Chains
Or the Offspring, it’s 90s pop punk /punk rock. I think you’ll love Dead Kennedys

If you like The Offspring, you'll probably like Sum 41 and or Yellowcard. They were popular around the same time.
80s was pretty big on hair bands and power ballads but I would absolutely have to recommend Van Halen and Mötley Crüe. Since you like Queen, I'd recommend Journey as well. That band has some really beautiful songs.
