So I really like to browse random profiles and see what I can find. You can do this really easily by searching: "spacehey.com/random"
What I found was a lot of people who are into emo and 2000s and 2010s, which makes sense.
Almost every time I see a vinyl gallery I see Tyler the Creator?? Do not understand this hype. I see My Chemical Romance often too.
Many black themed profiles or pink+white. And tons of unreadable profiles, my fav <3
Often see empty acc without a personal layout with just 2 followers (=An
and SpaceHey). On the other hand some profiles with like more than a
thousand followers... (why... how... why...)
A lot of anime which can fine, but also weird sometimes haha!
A lot of minors, like more then 50% is minors. (Some are way too young to be online even, if they arent lying).
Then a lot of Roblox fans! Please be safe out there.
Same thing for Sonic, tons of Sonic fans.
This fashion thing were ppl paint their face a tint darker and really big eyes. I think it's Japanese, not sure.
Not a lot of people write stuff in their about me section which makes it difficult for me to friend anyone. Also very little users write blogs. But when there is a blog entry it's a dni list or a hello i exist/ am new here entry.
When I see an acc with just a few followers that does have some of the same interest as me but hasn't been online for 5 days, I don't know want to add them. Because it feels like they're just new and just wanted to check it out and leave right after! Is there a way to see when an acc joined?
Almost everyone on this site is introvert, weird, awkward, goofy and silly!
More often than not the autoplay music is ear-piercing :P as in rock/metal. Doesn't match the chill cozy mood I have when browser random profiles. (lmk if the autoplay on my profile is annoying, I will remove it!)
It's very funny when people do not write anything in the blurbs/aboutme but only post their ig acc.
I realise that I do not like the windows (startup) screen layout at all.
I'm curious about how many people truly are who they say they are on
here or online in general. Or maybe I don't want to know, because that
number would probably be less then I thought and be very depressing.
Also I would love to see some stats about spacehey users!! (i love graphs and statistics)
What are some things you have seen everywhere or weird things you found while browsing?
I am also curious if the random searching is really random.

you summed up 90% of profiles here lol. wish we can filter profiles based on if they were minors or not to save time....
for the auto-playing music part, i muted the site cuz i mostly listen to music when i use spacehey and 2 songs playing isnt nice.
Yep that would be great to filter that out. And I also mute the site, I absolutely hate it when two songs play at the same time. I don't know why but it really triggers me.

Mmm... interesting way to share your experience. Despite joining around 1 year ago I barely started to be active in recent 2 months or so, so I'm relatively new too and it's nice to see how the experience is going for others.
I didn't know about the page to check a random profile, but... lol, sounds tempting to try.
I didn't notice the music in autoplay because I use NoScript and I have most third-party JS sources blocked, but heck... I HATE that so much! And it's disappointing to see this is a thing here, too, as it's one of the things I hated the most about the actual original MySpace. It's not even about music tastes, I just don't like the idea of listening to anything I didn't choose to listen actively haha, and depending on the moment it can be quite annoying even if just a second. Hopefully you don't dislike metal outside these autoplayers haha.
And yeah, the many minors in this site was an ankward surprise too. It's weird how this site mixes people in their 30s or even 40s who used to be teens in the original MySpace and teens who reminds a lot to the teens these old people used to be in the 2000s. Even when not ill intentions of any kind or any prejudgemental ideas, honestly it's just not comfy. :S
Btw, nice website! It was funny to see that title when opening it in a new tab and me thinking: "oh well, another person who has an outdated site that went down or whatever". Then clicked in the menu sections and of course the "not found" errors are real lol. It's going good so far, tho, and you could keep the title and design even once all sections and stuff are done. :)

Hey, thanks for the compliments about my website, and for considering to listen to my music! I do mostly metal, but it's not the generic type of metal (not suitable for trves lol) and you mention Poppy as a favorite, so even though not the Poppy type maybe precisely because the diversity and the "not the generic metal type" you'll find something you like among the hundreds of tunes I had done in these barely 5 years of making music haha.
Ugh, so you critized autoplayed music while you had autoplay too? Shame on you! :P
Nah, but seriously... yeah, I never understood why people do that. If you ask others, most likely almost everyone will tell you they don't like to be welcomed by music in autoplay and people usually stops it inmediately, or worse: they close the tab. So what's the point?
To include a playlist with your favorite songs (or your own "greatest hits" if you are a musician) can be a cool idea, tho, so anyone interested can simply press the play button and it can be an interesting way to know others better. But forcing the music to play at the moment of loading the page? In my opinion that should be forbidden and anyone doing that sanctioned with a huge fine and maybe even some years of jail (just kidding :P but yeah, not a nice thing).

I listened to A Third Placeholder and it was strangely relaxing... I like it!!
Yes shame on me haha. But I have found some sick song while listening to some autoplay on here! I use firefox and can quickly dim the music, so it doesn't bother me that much honestly. But I won't use autoplay anymore, I understand why it is annoying. I think I will just add the yt player in small for people to press play if they want to.

Oh, I'm glad to see you somewhat liked my third original album/demo! I wouldn't say it is that relaxing, but certainly it has a few tunes that moves more into that chill and ambient vibe, the whole album is softer than my usual stuff, maybe because most of the inspiration came from my walks in nature and cats and similar stuff, I dunno haha.
This isn't in any album (yet) but just a very quick song I did a few weeks ago for one of these "make a song in less than 1 hour" events, and I went the shitpost with it but in a unusually soft way. Yeah, a playlist is just fine, and even convenient to check people's tastes. Your method to simply use the tab's mute button is a lot less radical than mine with NoScript, but it's not just about the audio in autoplay, today web has just so many annoying things and such an abuse of JS scripts and stuff... I just feel safer this way.

I think I do like the relaxing songs more!! My fav from A Third Placeholder is Lost in The Mysterious Lands (1.25min is so nice). Amazing puns and albumcover too, I love cats.

Hey, thanks again for the very nice compliments! I love when people appreciates such details, which unfortunately it's not very often haha. And yeah, cats are really the best thing of this world! A world ruled by cats would be a better world for sure. :)
With JS I mean "Javaascript" (but without the third A). This site blocks any message containing the full word as a measure to prevent potentially malicious code using that language, so I used the abbreviation word. It's a very practical and useful language to add many things in websites and stuff, but unfortunately often abused in nasty ways in like 90% of websites nowadays, so blocking most of it makes the web a lot more bearable. :)

lowk my shit is garbage because im still learning so much about the culture/coding. I really do enjoy the customizability there is, but i really do wish there wernt so many minors.. like I'm pretty unfiltered when it comes to my dialect. I really enjoy coming here and connecting with people who also hate current social media, i'm j also relcutant to put a lot in my blurbs atm. like im obv almost 22 but im autistic and freakazoids will think im gullible and lowk ion tryna deal w/that lmao.
also when i first joined someone dmed me and it really freaked me out bc theyre like "where do u live" and then started being like really edgy "ion wanna live" type shit, i think bro got banned bc i cannot find him anywhere. Pretty sure bro was a predator

I think you're profile looks really nice btw! And you have some blogs and you've written stuff in your interests. And you can really put whatever you want in there, even nothing! I just find it difficult if users have no blogs, no interests and no blurbs and hundreds of friends. Can't friend someone when I don't know anything.
Also that's a crazy first experience, I luckily haven't had that. Sounds very intense and scary!

i think the reason why there's so much emo people here is because myspace was a big part of the emo scene back in a day, hence why so many emo folk are here
with Tyler The Creator, type shi they probably have deftones too and it goes beyond spacehey. i've seen a lot of youtube videos about physical media collection, and i've noticed that most of them have Tyler The Creator with Deftones, that's why i stopped watching them - they're just boring. i not saying everyone who has these is performative(tho i think some of them lowkey are), it just shows that there's a specific type of crowd that enjoys buying and putting out their physical media collection
empty profiles can be explained by lazy people and indecisive teens, firts ones are just too lazy to set up and learn a new thing for their profile, and the second one is... well, it's self-explanatory
i hate when autoplayed music doesn't start to play instantly, tho i just turn it off regardless
people here are as true as the rest of the internet, tho lying here is a lot easier than in the rest of the internet
generally i would say my experience was positive with some exceptions here and there(one word - moderation)
