I always said i wouldn't do it because it's so much more expensive! buuuut i got a record player for christmas and these 2 vinyls i got sounded really good when i listened to them, people always told me the listening experience was hard to describe but was absolutely worth it, and they were right! The best way I can describe it is it feels like the closest you could get to hearing them actually play it live without being there.
Anyways, I have collected about 6 now right before heading back to college for my second semester (yes my break has been this long lmao). Only problem is that my player kind of sucks lmao. It's a cheapo one (yes, Crosley Cruiser) which I don't blame on my grandparents because they get gifts for like 20 people every year and that's got to be expensive as hell. But the built-in speakers are NOT great and 2 of my records just cannot play on them because they skip incessantly on this player and ONLY this player; I've tested it with 2 separate players and they both work completely fine on them (and sound better too).
In conclusion, i found another thing to spend much of my (not) hard-earned money on and also i need a better record player, open to suggestions!
P.S: I will upload all of my vinyls that I've gotten in a separate blog post once I'm back in my dorm and have all of my physical media
i'm collecting records now

for a good turntable, check out an Audio-Technica LP60-X, its the one i have and its great
Thanks! I'll keep that one in mind cus I'll probably ask for a good player for my birthday. Looking at it I think it might have been my friend's player that I tested the skipping records on.
