Things that Inspired Me in January 2026

 For me personally the new year until the sun is out and the birds are back. Right now everythings well, dead. Cold. Unwelcoming. It doesn't make sense to start something new in this environment. Even the animals know that much. So January has been a lazy month in terms of finding inspiration. But I am an artist at heart so here is what inspired me this month.

1. This Piece from the Met Gala. I believe it was featured in 2024, meant to be sleeping beauty inspired. Don't know why this fascinated me so much but I want a wearable piece like this.

2. No clue where this image is from but it just felt very whimsical and nostalgic. I want to paint this.

 3. Cupid and Psyche. The story in general. Also those pictures of Psyche with the little butterfly wings. This is my ACOTAR. 

Honorable Mentions; Muddy midwest winters, where you can see all the brown and read the plants left behind. And the weather is just perfect for a walk. Love.
