Tonight, I caught a glimpse of the sky when I went out on my terrace to throw something out. It was so dark that I couldn't even spot the bin at first. I looked back to it before going back inside and I saw that tonight, there were many stars visible in the sky. I was shocked because in the city, that's not so common. It could also be that I've been paying a bit more attention to the night sky lately, but I was really pleasantly surprised.
I went up to my roof to see them better and you wouldn't believe how full the sky was! The crescent moon was shining so bright, too. I lay down in the cold, that I really ought to have braved with an extra jacket, and admired the view. I counted 59 of them, but I didn't really turn my head to count the rest. I believe I also spotted the brightest one, and I saw a constellation. I don't remember ever spotting one before.
Honestly, I'm so glad I had something to throw out tonight. My face still stings a little from the cold, but what wouldn't I give to see a sky like that?

Where i live i cant do that( but i would like to look at the stars one night, to be honest. Can count it as my dream

Omg you wrote this so beautifully TT.TT, the night sky I feel is truly one of the most amazing and pretty things you can see on Earth, and the fact that its there for everyone to see is so beautiful. I always love when I go to places with lower lighting because so many stars suddenly appear in the sky, I still remember the first time I saw a shooting star, it as SO magical TT.TT
Thank you so much! I've started going outside at night more often to see the night sky since that evening, and I have to agree. It's truly one of the best things you can see! I've only ever seen a shooting star when i was a little kid and I don't remember it very well... I'm so glad you do. That must be so special! I hope we'll see some again soon.
