The new era of dumpster PCs, flip phones,ipods and cool gay people

like 7 months ago I dumpster dived the local dollar general I used to work at and struck gold. I found the old computer that was in our break room and a monitor. My friend Rabies and I smuggled it to my house on his e bike and my e scooter. The computer sat for a long ass time because the exploits for windows 8 wouldnt work due to the computer having a custom Dollar general software. My friend looked at my pc the other day put linux mint on it and its been a blast.
the first thing i put on it was a custom kitty cat cursor and a star background from pinterest. I wanted a star cursor but i honestly couldnt find one.
I surprisingly can run steam and one steam game. i tried modding and putting emulators on some of my other tech but i couldnt figure it out. Having this computer feels like a fever dream. Between the old ass system,the custom cursor,cd deck, and playing old browser games I feel like a kid again. Im 21 and I grew up with a windows vista pc.
I played 3d pinball space cadet,minesweeper and all the virus games i could find. Coming back to an older desktop after not having my own computer is super fun!! Im super grateful for my dumpster PC.
The only cost to it is going to be a wifi chip but i just found a powerline that lets me use a lan cable for now.  

These custom webpage spaces like space hey and neo cities are inspiring me to learn new skills. The pure amount of ubridled raw talent that im seeing is CRAZY. The art, the hobbies, the dedication and  the lovely little gay people that i see serving on these webpages are so cute :) yall inspire me. 

I recently have been wanting an ipod or mp3 player. I kind of miss having my little mp3 player and honestly ive never stopped using mp3s. I LOVE Pink Floyd and i refuse to pay for streaming so i always download the dark side of the moon on my phone so i can listen to it uninterrupted. I cant really justify spending the money right now but i remembered that i found a ipod touch 4th gen in my grandmas house after she died. i know it works so i bought a charger so i can use it as soon as it comes in the mail. i want to maybe mod it but im not sure if i can. 

Although im reallly excieted to explore new tech im tired. Ive been able to access endless content since i was around 9 years old. Ive been addicted to my phone for years and i honestly mourn who i could have been if it wasnt for this addiction. I want to get a flip phone. I used to have a walmart mp3 player and a flip phone when all the other kids had iphones. I grew up a bit poorer than most people and i remember being so content. I want to go back to that but im kind of scared to get a flip phone. i love the convenience of researching on the go and listening to any song i want on command. I dont use my phone number much so im scared to ask my friends to actually text my number and not discord. I LOVE snap chat and I love posting to my story all the time.  

im going to try to cut back my tech use and switch to a flip phone as soon as possible.
