Resurgence of physical media

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY LOVE physical media. That being said, the huge resurgence of physical media has me feeling... odd. I LOVE that people are straying away from BIG CORP. and making their own CDs and using MP3 players so as not to have to use Spotify or other streaming services! however.... I feel like the way people are buying new iPods, new CDs, new DVDs is... wasteful? Almost all my CDs are either burnt or secondhand, my iPod is from the goodwill, and my DVDs are mostly secondhand, except for some that I got for my birthday. I feel like physical media is becoming the new microtrend, and i DONT LIKE IT ONE BIT! However, I'm holding out hope that maybe the "trend" will stick! And people will realise that it is SO MUCH BETTER this way! Sure, it takes a bit more effort than clicking on an app, but it also feels more real, more connected to society, and less like the endless rabbit hole of social media.
