I used to dislike home-cooked food. Before college, I ate nothing but it, and it annoyed me that we never went to McDonald's or ordered pizza like people on TV always did.Naturally, as soon as I had more money and freedom, I began to live exclusively on sweets, snacks, and fast food, and I loved it for several years.
Now everything has changed. My parents work, and I'm in university and have trouble coping with sensory and emotional stress. We don't have anyone to cook proper meals (nuggets with rice or potatoes don't count). There are always sweets, expensive cheese and sausage, and various snacks at home, but there's almost never any hot food. Now I always grab a bowl of hot noodles when I go out with friends.Soup is comforting. It warms and soothes the stomach after a diet of chips and rice.I miss the days when I could eat soup at home every day.
