loving a genre that i hate

recently i have been getting into country music. however, i only like listening to female singers in that genre. you can tell that using AND controlling their voice. a lot of male country singers kinda sound the same to me. it's weird how i've lived in texas and hardly heard any female country singers. the only i actually heard was american girl by carrie underwood (from coming across a random music video) and dolly parton (hannah montana cameo). the rodeos and fairs that i went to only played men. it would be the all the same stuff, too! "out with my friends with a six-pack and some red cups, woowee a women in short shorts partying with us." is the summary of what they sung. meanwhile, a lot of the women in country music has a lot of variety in the topics they sing. i'm glad that I gave it a chance again. their backs must be cramping up from holding up this damn genre.
