I Went Outside and Tried to Get A Job (UPDATE!)

Me spending time outside vs me spending time outside still but it's only been 2h (I love it)

Also I just made this doodle for fun. I haven't been having fun doing computer stuff via mobile. I miss my computer even though it was wheezing through everything. It did do a good job.

Oh. Gonna be making some minimalistic blog posts in the meantime. Doing CSS on mobile is hard. (It should be a torture method).

Also welcome to my first very personal blog post? Hahhh

...What a day that was.

~3:00pm I went outside to try and get a job somewhere, anywhere. 

I targeted the areas around me. I walked around and asked about any open positions. Most mentioned about applying online and following up.

I applied to a bunch of things but it never occured to me to follow up! Guess that's on my list.

It's an incredible triumph for a first time job hunter and introvert.

One place took my resume! 🎉 I'm really happy.

I guess I can follow up with that place too.

It sucks that getting hired is a long wait. At the end of the day, I just have to focus on what I can and can't control so I don't spiral.

My dad recently told me that we can no longer afford food and rent. So I really have to pull up my bootstraps. Maybe even tighter and higher than I thought. I started thinking about food banks...

It's hard for me. Maybe because I was spoiled or I was an overprotected child. Now I have to fight the anxiety and focus demons to do anything... 

And even more so, those fast food jobs are looking more inviting than ever... It just comes down to it. You gotta do what you gotta do...

Fast forward to now (Jan 17th.)

I haven't felt determined since that day but I know I have to make progress somehow. Maybe I'll print out a bunch more copies of my own resume at home...

I think after going to the convention, I will sort out my priorities and focus hard on helping out money-wise. Even if it means working at a restaurant or a McJob (っ- ‸ - ς)

I guess for some happy news?

I learned z-index and transformations for CSS! yay!

Now to learn what flexboxes and grids are all about...

Tumblr!

I also caved in and jumped into Tumblr. Here's my blog.

Nothing much is happening there right now. I'd freaking LOVE a theme. Mobile...editing a theme... It's possible but it might be a pain! 😂

I know more scrolling isn't what I need right now either, but I think I'm allowed some peace or inspiration from time to time...

I'll probably talk about how to enjoy an anime convention as a broke weeb since I'm going to one :)

And I'm also writing something about 4chan's /mu/sic guide so that'll be fun.

After being unemployed, I was back to being employed this week Monday! Such wonderful news! 

I'm updating this on Jan 29th. I was late today but I try not to think about it and focus on getting to work safely and helping my dad out with expenses...
