The worst part of being a teacher, at least for me

Today, among my duties as a teacher is to start filling out the lesson planning templates for the semester, and yes, it is mandatory.

Many may complain as teachers about naughty students or troubled parents. But I haven't heard many complain about how exhaustive the bureaucracy involved in this small but annoying task is.

If you are a teacher, then you will know what I am talking about, I don't know if in other countries it is an easier task. At least here in Mexico it is something very exhaustive. At the school where I work every year the templates change, and it doesn't matter if you already have your classes scheduled, something as insignificant as the template can determine whether you receive it or get in trouble. Instead of looking for a way to make the work more efficient, they make us work overtime that obviously they will never pay

And I just wanted to complain. I like to teach, I like to share with my students. But the bureaucracy and paperwork really drain me.

I Haven't gotten a full teaching job yet but i've done student teaching, long term subbing, etc. I'm not familiar with how Mexico does things, but for me, I absolutely hate just the general beginning vibe there is to becoming a teacher. There's barely any openings, applications take hours, and it feels like you are never in a perfect position to get started.
