This is going to be collection of all the otome/visual novels I have personally played or watched someone else play! I'm using this to keep track of all the games I've played along with hopefully getting people to play them! Unfortunately it will probably take me awhile to get this fully up to date. And of course I will probably new games that I will eventually have to add to this list ┑(￣▽￣)┍

I will give my rating and short review, some basic info, and my favorite characters/routes!

I'm going to list them in alphabetical order :3 (except sequels, I will put those in order of release!)
My favorites will be marked with a "🎔"!

If I haven't finished or refuse to finish all routes in a game I will put an
"{incomplete}" tag  on them. I am only listing games that I have played enough to form an opinion on!

!NOT EVERY VISUAL NOVEL GAME IS ABOUT CRAZY YANDERES!
I keep seeing people recommending VN games like: The Kid at the Back, 14 Days With You, Your Boyfriend, etc. They have gotten so popular on TikTok that now people seem to assume that all VN games are like that?? I personally stay away from those types of games. I find most of them to be triggering. I'm okay with having a yandere route in a game but it can't be what the game is based around.

I want to list my personal tastes so you can know how it may effect my opinions:

• I am on the ace spectrum! Although I don't mind spicier stories here and there I don't really like when it is the main focus of the story. If a story is to have spice in it, I prefer it to be done tastefully and only come up occasionally. If the majority of the dialogue is just how the LIs want to take the MC to bed, I don't read that as romantic.
• I don't really like dominant MLs. I know it is a classic character trope that a lot of people like. I do believe there are good dominant characters out there. Most that I've seen have some common issues: They treat the MC like an object, animal, or child. They are unapologetically rude. They have to show their "dominance" ALL THE TIME. The dialogue is extremely cringy. The character is not flushed out or has no real character development.
• I don't like a helpless, boring MC. I don't mind the MC getting special treatment or even being a "Mary Sue". I just don't like when the MC barley does anything and the rest of the character are going on and on about how the MC changed their lives. If the MC has little to no dialogue and has no autonomy of their own, it really takes me out of the story. It just makes the romance less believable, and in turn, less interesting.
