TheseΒ three teachings ^, are foundational.

And they are teachings nearly all denominations avoid at all cost.

Go to Catholics, Seventh Day Adventists, Jehovah Witnessses, Baptists, enter whichever denomination you wish, and almost NONE of them will actually preach others to obey Jesus on these teachings, much less do them themselves.Β

However the kind of life they produce, is radically different than the kind the lukewarm churches preach.Β

A person may spend 40 hours a week, working for money.Β

Instead, that time should be spent preaching Jesus and his message (if they want to follow Jesus).

While doing so, they trust that God will provide for their needs,Β their food and clothing.Β

Another verse that goes together with what Jesus taught on selling our possessions areΒ

β€’ Do not store treasures on Earth.Β

Another verse that goes along with what Jesus taught about not working for money, addresses the very common question most people have when this message is preached to them, that is, how will they eat, drink, and about clothes.

Jesus taught for his disciples to consider the birds and the lillies of the field!

AFTER a person has taken those steps, Jesus has other teachings as well, which a disciple should do their best to follow.Β

Jesus taught that it was better to be unmarried.

If a disciple is to be married, they are to remain married and cannot remarry

They cannot marry someone who is divorced.Β

Jesus taught his followers to not commit adultery, which, not only includes the act itself, but also the lust of the eyes as well.Β

π‘¬π’π’†π’Žπ’Šπ’†π’”

Jesus says to love your enemies.Β

He taught also to turn the other cheek, is someone slaps you on one, offer them the other.

If someone has stopped working for money in the system, and is spending their time preaching Jesus' message ( his real teachings), how can they be enlisted in any military service?

No they cannot go to war.Β

𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕

There are three things Jesus taught for his followers to do in secret.

β€’ Pray in secretΒ

Prayers should be done in secret , in your mind / in silence.Β

(Most churches pray publically, out loud.)

β€’ Fast in secretΒ

Jesus taught that when fasting, to not let others know.

β€’Give in secretΒ

Jesus taught that when giving to the poor, to do this in secret as well..

𝑢𝒖𝒓 π’˜π’π’“π’…π’”

Jesus says that we will be judged for the words we speakΒ

𝑢𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 π’—π’π’˜π’”

Many people may use swear that they will do something, Jesus says do not make oaths.Β

Let your yes be yes and your no no

Jesus has other teachings as well for his disciples to follow.Β

You may find them in the Books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John in the bible.Β
