unproductively enough, i'm writing this instead of doing my homework but LISTEN, HEAR ME OUT OK. dramatical murder has a lot wrong with it but there's also quite a bit right about it? also before anyone comes at me like "aahh are you a fujo or something??" no i am not i am a manthing that likes men. so anyways...
the good
-half-decent did rep tbh compared to a lot of media
-the general plot, setting, aesthetic are all incredibly nice..
-THE SOUNDTRACK goatbed my beloved ok sorry
-i don't feel like it plays into the average yaoi/bl tropes (i.e. seme/uke type of stuff) tbh.. like clear and aoba are both portrayed as very adorable characters but both of them have their own strength most of the time (i could be wrong on this, ive only played clear + koujaku's good endings so far)
-honestly some of the character writing is very interesting
-THE SIDE CHARACTERS. mizuki, tae, etc... love them
the bad (of course) (content warning for mention of racism and s/a here)
-THE WAY THEY WROTE MINK. and the fact that they made him so pale in the game? like why did they have to make the poc character morally worse than the rest of the cast ?? whats up w that
-the bad endings and blatant s/a is horrendous obviously. it's unnecessary honestly.
-i feel like. there are ways to incorporate dark themes without making it as bad as the nasty content in this.
okay im not proofreading it but you get my point. there you go there's my thoughts on a bl game from like 2014 that im hyperfixated on that i wrote up instead of doing my french homework lol

HI HI HI HI so glad to find recent (ish) dmmd opinions. the way mink was written was bad enough but the way the fandom handled him was so awful. that man was clearly meant to be stoic and dead inside he holds no malice to anyone but toue. and he was characterised as violent or cruel/sadistic and its like NO?? AUHGHH. anwyay. miau
