slime and the way of life // another january check-in

hi. it's late at the time of me posting this, so i doubt many will see it, but that's okay.

it's been a little bit into the new year, and i tell you what, it's already been... something.
hard for me to say what that something actually is. it's not like i can get an impression off of not even half a month.

i don't like to make resolutions, myself. not because i don't follow them, but just 'cause i don't really think about it. i do like to use the opportunity to better myself anyway though. i've been working on a few things.

...on that note, i think people need to give themselves more time.
it's really easy to feel like life is short, but i think it's pretty easy to say that in relation to other things, or how much time we spend doing other stuff.
our lives are actually pretty long. i'm 21 now. i've experienced indescribable things and i'm only a bit into a quarter of the life expectancy. it's kind of daunting, but i don't let it get to me... i'm just cool like that.

hey, while i'm typing down whatever comes to mind, i ever tell you how much i suck at this whole love thing? actually--that's better for february. i'll come back to that later.

maybe i'll go back to giving unsolicited advice in recent blogs sometime... i wonder if it actually did help somebody. not in a depressed, almost sarcastic kind of way, just a genuine thing i thought of.
i do that quite a bit, actually. i think of things that might kinda seem depressing but i mean them completely honestly and neutrally.

but that's neither here nor there...

that's all from me tonight. sorry this one's just a ramble, nothing of note has happened in my life yet. i figure people would get at least a little value out of my train of thought regardless--i hear sometimes people enjoy looking at others' brains under their various scientific measurement devices.
