Year of the Fire Horse

Okay okay the low down on Chinese zodiacs might not be everyones ~thing~ BUT I want to talk about it. Also, I didn't put this under religion because...it's not really a religion. The very bare bones of CN astrology is that something in space (star, planet, astroid, etc) represents a concept, and based on the day, month and year of your birth, those meanings will interact with you differently. It's also important to know that along with the animal, your CN zodiac is also an element (fire, water, earth, wood, metal) and a polarity (yin and yang) which impact you. For example I am a Water Horse with a Yang polarity. Now there are a few ways things are calculated or read, but the year itself, its animal and element have the same behaviors that will impact your zodiac differently. 

We are coming up on the year of the Horse, under the house of the fire element. The symbolism of the fire horse is actually pretty insane. It's intense, it's fast moving, there's passion and change, and also this sense of...fire destroys what is dead to make room for what needs to grow. It's not even February yet, and the year of the fire hose is already heating UP. There are so many people around me - horse, dragon, tiger - who are all experiencing these absolutely epic changes. Ones that are hard. I mean, some of these changes are destroying their plans, but they're also making way for coming life. It's burning away pretense and seeing what's left. What matters. 

I am not saying that this year is going to be all roses or all success. But it will be a time of movement. And oftentimes, more movement means more life. It will not be easy, but it will be cool as heck. Hard, but worth it. During this year, try to find opportunity. Look into your life and see where you are being complacent rather than content. Start writing, or that band you've been thinking about, learn to cook, call your mom more, invest in yourself. This is no the year to dig your heels into land that is rejecting you. Take a chance and bet on yourself. Who knows, maybe you'll hit it big.
