greek family tree project (1/??)

so since the start of this year, i have been working on a little project on canva. a little something about the hellenistic mythos. something like the entire family tree of the greek gods.

well, look.

i knew their family tree was big and weird and fucked up. i mean, zeus+demeter=persephone, and zeus+persephone=zagreus??? fuck, how does one even plot that? it's not a family wreath, but it's definitely more family bush than family tree. AHHH WHY DID I GET MYSELF INTO THIS CLUSTERFUCK 

i'm doing stupid shit like listing out ALL OF THE FIFTY NEREIDS. even if hesiod mentioned them once. why, you ask? because im a fuckingn idiot that's what. stupid fucking perfectionist urges rahhhh. anyways GUESS WHAT. guess fucking what. after listing out around like thirty oceanids (all i could find in hesiod's theogony+cross referencing apollodorus), i was prepared to move onto eurybia and crius' grandchildren because then we get awesome gods like selene and hecate (i debated converting to hellenism solely to worship hecate and nyx when i was 13 (can you tell i was an emo teenager?)) but then i realized. WHERE WERE THE POTAMOI???

so.

i have spent two hours now rearranging the spacing between some names (like i said before, i'm doing this on canva and it is HELL.) and i just got done with the river gods. why are there so many???? this is nothing compared to the hell i endured through to chronicle the nereids but. fuck.

i'm so tired. 

but i wanna get done with all the titans' children by tonight. welp.
