i decided that i need to change how i approach blogging on here, so uhh i'm just gonna taste the waters with this random post!

In Dawn's Mind ★ for cosmicheartz
my 1st ever Artfight attack!! (technically, friendly fire?) and the only one as of now :,D
the character's name is Dawn Seabridge, she's an Psychonauts OC!! tbh i could have done a lot better work conveying that fact. I just was so excited to draw her and it were the last days of the event. Overall, i had lots of fun! :,D (bah, i definetly need to replay this game one day...)

i LOVE cringetober and any of those monthly challenges in theory, but DAMNNN... drawing EVERYDAY for a whole month?? nuh-uh! I usually just take one or two prompts i like and roll with it

this one is also for cringetober, but alongside splatober ! the prompts are "tumblr sexyman" and "mr. grizz". They were in one day, I just couldn't miss this opportunity :D
fun fact: grizz has "sexyman" written on his belly, right where Neo3 points the finger. This wasn't intended AT ALL. I SERIOUSLY DON'T KNOW HOW TF THIS HAPPENED AND I NOTICED IT ONLY 2 YEARS LATER

since you're here, i'm gonna share a lil trick of mine, which is... photobashing !! i usually do it for backgrounds and textures, sometimes I just find it much more fun and easier than actually drawing the whole thing from scratch. You can see the example of that in my artfight art (I blended various photos of waves and painted over it), in the Splatoon cringetober gif (the whole bg, except the fizzy goo where i mixed around and painted over it. It's just a meme so i didn't care much XD), and, right above, in Bomb It fanart (i think it's quite obvious)
