goshhhhhhhh golly this song probably informs so much of my music-listening habits and I'm just now realizing that I think. The acid-break drumming and whirring bassline are enough to make anyone want to open up fl studio and make their dreams come true. Its only elevated by the gorgeous ambient string synths that glide and bubble into y2k techno-euphoria, which somehow guide the perfect, graceful steps of the horns to their rightful place in 90's nirvana (get it?). All of this would be for naught if it weren't for the utter excellence of Suzanne Vega's voice, indignant and searing in its commentary on the completely benign, the confidence that makes the heavenly feat before you seem mundane and obvious before you. Her voice probably informed a lot more about me than just my artistic taste, I am now realizing.
gushing about toms diner by Suzanne Vega like a true Spacehey patriot
