my irrational fear of twitter

THIS BLOG POST IS KIND OF NOTHINGBURGER BUT I WANTED TO YAP LOL

tldr: i dont know how to make friends on twitter but that might just be social anxiety. also the word limit is too small and i have too much to say. also my friends that were already on twitter have their own little friengroups already and i'm the guy nobody invited

I've avoided twitter for a long time. I've certainly heard a lot about it, but I never downloaded it. I've always been a tumblr & tiktok user. But then I caved because all my friends are using it aaaand theres a lot of twitter only griefer artists. 

I've only been on twitter for a little over a month, and even then I'm mostly just lurking. I GENUINELY FEEL LIKE a newborn baby being dropped into a burning hot volcano. That could just be my social anxiety talking, but like I downloaded it, went "oh i should make some friends!" and then... didn't... know how to make friends. I looked on other peoples' pages to see what I should do, right? what the fuck is a promotwt. What the hell is a subtwt. Someone needs to make a twitter starting guide because I don't want to seem like a noob and i dont want people to make fun of me 

Another reason is just that I originally joined twitter because a lot of my friends were on there, but then I joined and realized they all had their own little twitter friendgroups and like. I don't want to seem intrusive so I just kind of lurked around. Also I get so horribly scared whenever I contemplate if I should follow my friend's private twitter account or if they hate me and want me to die. Also I say friends but these guys are mostly like... Mild Acquantences(tm) so I don't know them THAAAT well. Like, what's the privacy level of a private twt. Is it like close close friends only or like mutualsorrrrr what. Will i see your private vents if i follow you. What's the privacy level here. Also how do you even talk to people do you just ask to be mutuals. 

Also, what the fuck do you even post on twitter. Since i've mainly used tumblr & spacehey for as long as I can remember, The word limit on twitter feels sooo so so small. I have way too much to say, my train of thought just keeps going on and on rather than random spontaneous bursts that i can just randomly post about. (<- this is a lie. my thoughts are at an awkward stage where it's too long for twitter but too short to be a long blog post so i just bs it and add a lot of filler words to make it seem longer so i seem smarter.)
