If you'd ask any young girl if ske knows "Gilmore girls" her answer would be "yes!" And I'm pretty sure that if you would ask her mum the same question, the answer would remain the same.
And that's the moment from a question; "Why do we love that show so much?". Is it because of the main characters: the icon herself- Lorelai Gilmore- independent and full of comebacks single mother, and her ambitious, bookworm daughter Rory Gilmore? Or maybe it's the free, slow and inspiring vibe of that show, which makes us go back to it every autumn? The pop-tart in their hand + coffe mug in other, flared jeans and fast conversations while walking around stars hollow screamed messy but figured out lifestyle.
It's not only a drama show. It is that chaos of adulthood, beauty of girlhood and struggles of parenthood mixed with everyday challenges and rewards. Those two strong female leads doing their own thing but still crossing each others path is excatly what life is about, what makes us- audience so fullfiled with emotions and hope at any age.
Truly a masterpiece of the 2000's.
